Replace valve springs on stock heads/cam?

Hey folks -
I plan to have my valve seals changed and a set of comp 1.6 rr's put in this summer.
I don't plan on upgrading the stock heads/cam on my L98 in the future either, so I'm wondering if i should change the stock stamped valve springs to some new ones of the same factory size or not even bother at all.
Not too worried about valve float, but I figure since they are out why not.
Is there a brand/part # y'all can recommend if I should?

Yes, change them. They are tired. Use whatever stock replacements fit in there (1.25" OD), but don't go overboard on seat pressure. CompCams, Crane, etc.

The car has only 60K miles on it, but I guess they are 15+ years old as well.
I do recall reading the stockers are pretty weak.

Can somebody tell me which of these two Comp springs would be the best to go with?
983-16 or 981-16?
The diameter, spring rate and valve spring style are slightly different on each.
Also, are retainers and locks a must as well?
10 degree? Part #'s?
Thanks!
