Spark plug arcing...why?

I ran my engine where it was completely dark to check for some things...and I noticed 2 or 3 plugs were glowing around the base. All are in tight, and all the wires are clipped on good. I can't see it close enough to distinguish exactly where the bluish light is coming from.

Ideas?

i heard that was a NATURAL phenominon, at least if they were just GLOWING, but i guess if there was actual sparks then it would be a problem. but i did read somehwere that if u look at ur plugs at night u might seem them glowing cause of some kinda electric field stuff or wutever. but to me if u had 3 plugs arcing then u would notice a loss of power and u might be able to see some carbon where it is arcing too.

Jester, which plugs are they? I am noticing the EXACT same thing with my #3 and #5 plugs. I have new stock delco plugs, with new taylor wires. They glow at the base of the plug, and I cant figure out why.

That's kind of normal, especially for resistor plugs... the "resistor" is actually a gap internal to the plug, so in fact there is arcing going on in there by design... But even apart from that, the porcelain is somewhat translucent, so the combustion within the cylinder is also partly responsible for the glow...
