Speedo jumps
Speedo jumps
I been looking threw back posts and I cant seem to find anything that relates to this soo I figured try a new post. About 3 weeks ago I replaced my VSS behind my dash on my 89 RS camaro. Well about a week ago I took my first LONG drive, Jersey to Rochester. Well I would notice that the speedo would jump from say to 80 to 85 then just as fast as it did that it would then go back to 80 then down to 75. All with out my taking my foot off the gas or giving it more. Any one got any ideas?

Papa,
You still have speedo cables, and all the potential problems with them sticking and binding in the housings. Clean and lube the cable(s) and check it again.
BTW - you must be "testing" the speedo at 85 on the chassis dyno, right?
