Fixing an IROC up to sell it, need advice on which engine to use.
Ok, I have an 86 IROC that I got for really cheap. I'm going to fix it up and hopefully make as much money as I can off of it. The car has a 305 TPI, headers, true duals, and it knocks so it's gonna need some internal attention. I have a 350 4 bolt engine in my garage that has a spun bearing. I'd like to put the 350 in it because 350 IROCs are selling for a lot more than 305's here. I just don't want to get stuck sinking a lot more money into it than I'll get out. So what do you all think I should do to make the most profit? Rebuild the 305, or swap for the 350. Thanks for your help.

I don't see much of a different between the 305 or the 350 as far as the amount of work involved. Both are going to be about as expensive (you don't know for sure until you take them to the machine shop), and about the same amount of work. Alot of people see value in a closer to original car though, so the 305 isn't necessarily a bad idea.
