Hi i recently had to sell my 2002 camaro SS due to unavoidable circumstances, and i picked up a 1986 iroc camaro.

I was wondering a couple of things, the current engine in the iroc is the 305 TPI, i was wondering what i could do to make atleast as much power as the 02 i had, and approx how much it would cost. I understand this may mean an engine swap, but thats why im asking questions.

Your '02 had 41 more cubes, a superior intake tract and heads, lighter rotating assembly, and vastly superior control system. All you need to do is mimmic that, and you'll have the same kind of power. Or, add a lot more cubic inches and compromise on a few of the other items. A small block can be resized to at least 450 inches with a little work. The 305 will have difficulty producing that kind of power without the aid of a forced induction system or special fuel.
