Intermittant code 32
Title explains most of it, I get SES light only when cruising for 5 min or so at a constant speed.
It doesn't come on all the time and if I turn the car off and then immediatly restart it the SES light does not come back on. Any clues to what part may be causing this intermitant failure?

I have the same "problem" on my 86 IROC (305 TPI with 700r4). I have a cat., but no muffler. The pipe travels back from the cat up over the axle and then splits into two tailpipes exiting at the stock location. Been a lot of talk about negative back pressure EGR valves requiring a certain amount of backpressure to operate correctly. It hasn't been enough of a problem for me to dig into yet, but others have.

Error 32 is the EGR or possibly the ECM. If you are having problems with the car dieing while idling or just as you start to take off and then you can't start then engine for about 10min, it is the ECM. If your engine is running a little rough and and is hard to start I would go after the EGR. I just went through this with my RS 3.1L. Only I was blessed with a digital EGR. Digital EGR = $250.00... OCCH!!!
Fortunetly I belive the V8's used the vaccum EGR which is a whole hell of a lot cheaper. Pick up a haynes manule for your car. It will have a break down for all of the trouble codes.

92,
The EGR is not functioning, or the EGR diagnostic temperature sensor is not detecting a temperature change when the EGR is supposed to be open.
Check for vacuum at the EGR solenoid, electrical connections at the diagnostic sensor, and free valve operation / clean EGR ports in the intake manifold.
