Stock Cam Specs for the L69 ?
What are the stock cam specs in the L69? I've looked and seem to find a few different answers depending on where you look.

GM replacement:
Camshaft Kit # 12353917, 204/214 - .420/.442 - 112 CL

Personally I'de go with # 12353918, 214/224 - .442/.465 - 112 CL.

Both made for GM by Crane Cams.
If you want cheaper you could go with the summit 1102 for the factory spec 204/214 , or the 1103 for the 214/224.

Neither of those is the L69 cam.
They are both ancient undistinguished generic grinds available from any number of sources for ALOT less money than GM is going to charge. The 204/214 one is the one people usually call a "RV cam".

Specs look familiar? Sure they do. But for half the price.
Here's the L69 cam. https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/techdb.shtml Search the page for "14088843". That's the one. I have one out of my old L69, and its lift at least measures very close to those numbers. Can't say about the duration.

The 12353917 is the number my local GM dealer gave me when I priced out some factory parts (before I knew how expensive it was to redo the L69), maybe he was wrong...
I don't trust that Technical data list.. first it list the L69 as .403 & .413, then on the camshaft spec list, it says .410 & .423

OK I found it...12523897 GM part number
it is the 202/206 .403/.415 Lobe center 115
My apologies...Maybe the dealer quoted me the next best thing, as the original is no longer available from GM.

Thanks,
Thanks for the info.
Give me your opinions on this one: (I've only had Big Block Olds and BBC's for the past 15 years (other than 2 SBC's I built years ago.)
In a stock L-69. Is there a nice build-up "list" or combo that anyone has used with good results? If so, wht kind of HP did you acheive?
This current project of mine is a Mild V8 in a Ferrari 308 Replica (Fiero). This is the second one I did. The last one used a pretty much bone stock (other than headers, intake and carb) old LT-1 that dyno'd 331HP at the wheels. This put the car's best time at 12.80's in the 1/4 mile and plenty of room for tweaking / traction etc to bring it down a bit more. So you can see that a "monster motor" is'nt really needed in a 2700 lb car to make a fun ride.
I'll need to use a Performer Intake (non RPM) due to Height Restrictions. I'll be using the Sanderson CC2's or CC90 headers. This L69 motor has the stock heads redone and ready to go on. However, before I do that (considering screw in studs, upgrade springs etc) I was checking for some opinions:
Decent Cam / combo using the stock springs and studs. Nothing to wild. If I could get somewhere in the 240HP range give or take that would make for a nice ride for the street. That's certainly more than "do-able" with the L69 that's for sure.
Ideally, 255-275HP would be perfect but I'd imagine that the larger grinds are gong to require screw in studs and some head work. (after all, these are'nt what you call "fantastic heads" but fine for their intended application). The head work is by no means out of the question. I'm just trying to get an idea of the "max" using the stock heads. This one is not a track car so relability not sheer HP is the goal.
Any L69 owners out there , your opinions would be a great help. Appx HP and largest cams with stock studs would be a big help. When you think about it, even 225 HP is more than enough for the car and reliability is the key in this one.
