I just did a bunch of engine work, Im thinking I may have been running rich and fouled the spark plugs, could I have screwed up the o2 sensor as well? All vacuum leaks have been taken care of. My cars idle fluxuates by about 500 rpm, jumping all over the place.. Any ideas are appreciated, I wan't to take care of any possible culprits.

 

have you tried a new cap and rotor? this kinda sounds like it could be the problem, with the idle jusmping all over the place.

The cap and rotor are nine months old, they came with my msd distributor. I filed the connections and cleaned them.

 

Any other ideas?

 

Have you Tried cleaning your A.I.C. Valve?

 

FYI, the fix was pretty simple ... all the plugs(new) had been fouled. I cleaned them and filed the electrode down. I guess I was running with the timing too retarded for a while. My #7 boot fell off of the plug(I love accel wires). Idles really smooth now.
