how long for this??

how long for this??
how long would it take to put in an aluminum driveshaft??? can i do it my self or should i just pay someone to do it??

Axle/Gears: Sag 3.73, B&W 3.45
Jack up the car, put jackstands under rear axel.
Put a pan under the rear seal of the trans
unbolt 2 of the 4 bolts going into axel, pop trans into neutral turn driveshaft 1/2 way. Remove other 2 bolts going into axel. Removing the 2 U caps holding in your u-joints.
push driveshaft forward, use a stout screwdriver to place between the U-Joint and reciever to break free.
drop rear of axel and pull out, the trans will drip some.
to install reverse removal.
the bolts are 10mm head if I remember right.

OK has the right idea. Definitely use the jack stands, and use a drip pan if you want a cleaner job.
Don't forget to repack the U-joints on the replacement shaft before you install it, and check the trans oil level and watch for leaks when finished.
While the shaft is out and you're right there, check the input pinion shaft on the rear end for excessive play.
