if I'm not mistaken(somebody correct me if I am) 82-92 camaros all have the smae length driveshaft, so if should fit.

And if I'm not mistaken, a fourth-gen driveshaft will fit too...

Car: Met. Silver 85 IROC/Sold
Engine: 350 HO Deluxe (350ci/330hp)
Transmission: T-5 (Non-WC)
Axle/Gears: Limited Slip 3.23's
The thirdgen alum shaft will not fit TH350s 82-83 but will fit overdrive trannies 83 to present. Cars from 88-97 (all 700Rs, 4L60Es,T5s, and T56s) are bolt-ins. Pre-88 cars will require a different-sized rear U-joint to match up, at least my 85 IROC did. Mike, I believe, you'll need CarQuest part # 3-3130.

It will fit. In fact I took the aluminum one out of my 94 Z-28 and put it in my 83.

So, this u-joint would allow me to use a newer driveshaft with my 9 bolt rearend. What is the diameter of a 4th gen aluminum driveshaft?
