engine wont start, killing me, help
engine wont start, killing me, help
well i turn the key over and it makes the noise but wont start, checked my plugs with a little screw drive and im getting spark. i dont know what else it could be, thanks for your help. oh yeah the car is an 88 iroc, 350 tpi.

is the fuel pump running, have fuel preasure and correct volumn, check the injector harness with a noid light, have compression? since you already have spark if you can answer yes to the above you should be able to fire the engine. if it were me i'd see if it'd fire on a load of either ,if it does that ought to point you towards a fuel problem.

When you first turn on the ignition (without cranking the engine) you should be able to hear the fuel pump relay click ON, and should be able to hear the electric fuel pump running in the fuel tank. The pump will run for about two seconds to pressurize the fuel rails. If you don't hear the relay operate or the pump running, check the fuel pump fuse near the battery. You may also have a pump relay failing, but after extended cranking the pump should operate without the relay through the circuit provided by the oil pressure switch.
