leak, leaks and more leaks

About a week ago my engine was leaking oil like crazy and I found that the gaskets (summit rubber ones) were the cause. I changed them out with felpro's and it seemed to help. I cleaned off my engine and now it seems if I just drive around with it it doesn't really leak. If I haul a** then in the morning it has 4 or 5 drip marks under it. I got under the car trying to see where its coming from. I have oil drips on my starter and passenger side header. On the top side the valve covers are good and as far as I can tell the manifold down to the heads is good. Was thinking rear main, but my engine has like less than 5000 miles on it. I already have to rip out my tranny because the front seal is blown, I mean its gone. Was also wondering if blow by can blow past the rear main. I just recently read an article on this board concerning the PCV valve. Right now I only have a breather and I started thinking that maybe the crank case pressure is high enough for some oil to blow past. My oil pressure is normally 30 to 45 psi. Hope someone has some ideas because I've been over this engine a hundred times trying to find this leak.

Let me guess...

The smog pump has been hacked off, right?

the smog pump has been taken off and there isn't any bolts in the holes. Thing is, the leak is on the back side of the engine (rear main area) not the front. And I did check the holes where the smog pump area is and there is no leaks. I've read posts before where you guys suggested plugging these holes. Is it because these holes are taped into the oil passage ways? If this is true then why isn't there a bunch of oil pouring out from the front of the engine? I appreciate guys helping out
thanks
Jason

The oil may be accumulating and dripping at the rear of the engine, but don't forget things a pretty breezy under the hood while driving.

This can push leaky fluids around and mask their real origin.

Just put a bolt in that upper hole with a little silicone on the threads and see what happens. Cheap, quick, easy, doesn't weigh much.

Update, finally got a chance to put the bolts in with silicon on them. when I cleaned them off I didn't notice any oil, but I went ahead and did it. I had my car up on a lift today (exhaust work) and noticed that there is a drip of oil on the back of the oil pan. Looks like my leak, good thing is my rear main was dry. Is it possible for the head bolts to leak oil (rear of heads). Seen a couple of oil marks coming down the head. Doesn't look like a lot, might even be that blow by collecting up top and running down. Already ordered everything to replace the gasket and I'll update after next week when I have results.
