no spark, changed almos everithing and still no spark...I dont lnow what to do

Hi, I hope someone can help me with my problem:
I own a 1988 2.8 firebird, a month ago it sudenly stops to run, it just started about 5 or 6 times but at last it wont start any more. after check I realized there is no spark in spark plugs nor in the coil. I had changed the coil, the distributor cap+rotor and the ignition control module and still no spark. I had checked for error codes in the ecm and it only flashes code 12.
In the past the car wont start but after a day or two it runs without problems. As I'm in spain and here this cars are rare I cannot take it to a mechanic cause I had alredy done and they returned the car to me without solve my problem.
Well thanks in advance, i hope someone can help me.

I have replaced the ignition coil and the pickup module for brand new ones without any result.
If the ignition fuse is located unther the drive wheel I have checked and there is no blown fuse if not please tell me where to find it and I will check.
Thanks for all your help, I cannot check anything till saturday, but I think that if I go to the car with many ideas maybe one is the right one:P

Do you know if the distributor is spinning when you crank over the starter?

As VernW said, remove the distributor cap, and crank the engine the rotor should turn, if not, it's the timing chain, or something that's keeping the timing gears from turning, or dsitributor gear has sheared the gear locking pin.

Also, you didn't say if you checked for 12volts at the distributor pink wire with the key on.

Do one thing at a time, and you'll find the problem.

Spark Plug problem solved

Hi I just forgot about this post, browsing the forums I rediscovered it, I finally found the problem with the spark, it was the pickup coil inside the distributor, it was broken. I change the distributor (I just cannot find the pickup coil itself) and it starts now. After that i had some more troubles but thats a diferent story. Hope that if someone have ever a similar problem this helps him to fix it.
Thanks a lot for your help.
