Valve Seals

I'm rebuilding the motor on my Formula and I am re-using my stock heads for now till I can afford some AFR 190's.

Anyway, my gasket kit came with the little black o-rings for the exhaust and the big thick blue rubber intake valve seals. It also came with these little plastic things that slide over the valve stems. But they dont fit over the thick blue seals. But they do fit over the exhaust seals. But I bought an extra set of intake seals and am using them on the exhaust valves too.

So my question is... I dont have to use the plastic umbrella things if I am using the thick blue seals on all the valves right?

I believe those "plastic things" that slide over the stud is just to help you not mess up the seals while you're installing them

DONT LEAVE THOSE ON
