Uh oh starter says only 10.0CR...
Well my compression ratio is most likely going to be much higher then 10.0:1. More like 10.6:1 if I am lucky.
Will this actually hurt my brand new starter? It has a lifetime warrantee but I surely would hate to go somewhere and have to call AAA because my starter went out but it has a lifetime warrantee.
My set-up is a 350, Summit stage 2 rods, stock crank reground and polished, -8cc hypereutectic pistons, and ported, without a valve job, 601 casting heads. I estimate the same stock cc ratio as stock 305 castings (54cc).
If you ask why such a poor solution in heads well, I am going to upgrade soon enough just a 350 was the first motor I found and I had 4 sets of heads but these were the cleanest and all. I had a set of 083 castings that were brand new and the valves were performance sets, I just didn't like them due to other reasons. I’ll be getting aluminum heads sooner then later.
AM I going to blow my starter? The head gasket is a .031 thickness composite gasket.
Without even being started and no sparkplugs, you can hear the air come out of the spark plug holes. It really has that much air to move.
So is my starter ok?

Your starter should be fine, i have a 10.5:1 compression 461 cubic inch BBC in my truck, and the stock style starter works fine, it is a starter off a small block, but i believe they are all the same anyways. If you are worried about it, you could always get a gear reduction starter.
