is this the right oil sender unit?

So I went down to the local parts shop to get a replacement for my oil sender which has apparently bit the dust. The part # is OP24721, its by Niehoff. We looked under the car and couldn't find the part they gave me. Thats why I think it's the wrong one. I also couldnt find it in my Haynes manual when i looked it up. Where does the oil sender go? I have an 88 GTA with 305.

Below, and to the drivers side of the distributor. Careful taking it out though, there is a brass "elbow" that it screws into, and if you torque it to much to get the sender off, it will break. (don't ask me how i know this.....)
