name that part

name that part

this part is located over the passengerside ontop of the valve cover. it has 3 coolant hoses about 1 inch in dia, going to it and one hose goes to bottom of the throttle body.it has a round disk shaped thing on the top where a small vacuum hose plugs in. can anybody name this part? mine exploded at one of the connections.

a name would be helpful since i need to replace it. i think it might be carbon fiber.

did a search at checkerauto under cooling and found it. its a heater valve. thanx for all the help
