what's the easiest ways to change spark plugs??
First off,I want to say that yesterday's attack was a pure act of cowardess,I'm so angry that i want to re-up in the corps again if the call comes, and i can't get in touch w/my nephew,Who doesen't live far from the towers. But,I have faith in my country,Those responsible WILL pay,And i feel in my heart that my nephew is alright.Anyways,I was changeing out my plugs today,And i'm haveing a hard time with the middle plug on the driver's side and the 2 back plugs on the passenger side.I love the performance my headers give,But they sure are hard to get around!
What's the best tools to use to get around them,And does anyone have a quick fix for replaceing sparkplugs in our cars?Oh yeah,Before i forget,It's great to see the post from the other devildogs on this board as well as others who served in the other branches of service too,You guys are the best! Thanks!

i have headers on my 350, i can change all 4 plugs on the drivers side from up top with no problems with a 5/8 spark plug socket, i can change the front two on the passenger side from above the same way, but the two closest to the firewall i have to get them from underneath with a 5/8s open end wrench. i feel you on your venting though. the acts done yesterday were completely uncalled for. innocent people loosing their lives because some terrorist is mad at the US is b.s. if we go to war, you can damn well count on my 19 year old a*s enlisting and fighting for what freedom stands for
305,
Have you tried using a spark plug socket with a regular open or box end wrench on the flats? I've had pretty good luck on #6 & #8 with that combo. The steering shaft couldn't be more convenient for that #5, could it? The socket trick might work there, too. I've had to use several different extenssions to get that one out - one to break it loose, a different one to back it out part way, and no extension to finish the job. And I don't even have headers in the way.

Im not sure if your flowtech are as badly designed as my edelbrock, but I can change the spark plugs pretty easily on the drivers side with the aid of an open end wrench.. the passenger side you have to go from beneath, but I use the same 5/8 combination wrench for every plug.
Oh, Vader.. I see you missed this one.. Don't forget the anti seize!
