trouble starting
ok you edelbrock guys, how many pumps do you have to pump your gas to get your car to start. I have a terrible time starting mine after it's sat for a day or two. I have to pump it and sometimes hold down the gas to get it to start

starting problem
Well I've a 84z h.o. came from the factory with 4bbl duel snorkel setup, I still retain the air induction. I've a edelbrock 600 cfm electric choke, even out of the box there was a float setting issue. could be your problem. Mine was brand new, took the owners manual and reset the float arm height. Remember, these boxes do get knocked around between the manufacturer and the store you purchased it at, even if its used it could be a float height issue. To much fuel or not enough. Also disconnect the fuel line from your mechanical pump and have someone turn it over, see if your getting fuel out of it. I've a electrical in the tank and mechanical. If you've a elctrical pump as well then disconnect your fuel line before the filter, go through the same procedure. Mine was very hard starting and you couldnt pump it to much or it would flood out. Just do alittle step by step process of elimination, you'll find it. Also check or replace your fuel filter if need be.
