School Project, Tech 101, Need Some Help?
If any of you could give me a shortened version or an elongated that would be very helpful, or how a car actually works runs, from starting it to driving it.
I know somethings but need to fill in the gaps. I mainly want to focus on the engine and drivetrain. Like for instance I know that RPM's is based on crankshaft revolutions, but what else does the involve including camshaft (which I believe is half the crank revolutions) and pistons and such. Maybe include spark plug and distributor functions.
I would like to express my thanks ahead of time to any of those that respond.

I'm not sure what kind of detail you are looking for, but for some general information, www.howstuffworks.com usually can get you started. Many times they have links to more detailed information as well. For instance, I was trying to find out how the Zexel torsen differential works and ended up finding the manufacturer's engineering report about it. Good stuff.
thats an excellent site, probably does a better job at explaining and showing then any of us could do on here.
