D-style exhaust ports on L98 heads

Car: 88 Trans Am
Engine: lt1 intaked 355 makin 277 on 25 psi of fuel pressure and stock timing :)
Transmission: A4 stock... that moved a mobile dyno a foot shifting into 2nd :)
D-style exhaust ports on L98 heads
hey whats so good bout these ports? i was gonna port match my heads to my header gasket but dont know what i should do? please help

Engine: 355 TPI siamesed runners
Transmission: Tremec T56
Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73
The shape and size of them promote better flow. The L98 heads have great exhaust flow numbers.
As long as your header opening is larger than the exhaust port, you're fine. That means Edelbrock headers wont fit. The best ones I've seen are the SLP 1 3/4".
