Question about heater ac box.

On my 86 camaro the lever on the temperature door in the heater box broke off, and now the door won't move, can that hinge pin be replaced, or do I have to replace the entire heater box.

thanks

I don't know how to get that off if it even comes off but I had the same problem. Stereo guy broke it. It sounds a little strange but what I did was clamp onto it with a small pair of vice grips. The handle had a hole for the spring on the vicegrips and the cable hooked into it perfectly. Been like that now for 5 or 6 years. It has full travel open and closed and has worked flawlessly. Will have to tinker with the vicegrips to get it lined up initiallhy (about a minute) and thats it.
