Chrome polish is way too abrasive. Get some clearcoat safe cleaner, preferably one that wont eat paint either, and use nothing more abrasive than something like Meguiars fine cut cleaner wax, otherwise you will take a bunch of the coating off the wheels, and you dont wanna do that.

The wheels themselves are cast aluminum with a machined lip, painted centers, and some sort of weird clearcoat thats kinda like a plastic of some sort.

The gta wheels are made of aluminum the best thing I have found is the new armorall wheel cleaner that is in a silver bottle. you the other thing that I use to clean mine is a mag brush that I found at autozone it is a thin wire with bristles on it and all i do is coat the wheels in cleaner and brush inbetween the holes. also use mothers on the pollished lip that is the best thing I have found. be shure to use a polishing cloth as to not scrach the wheel.

have funn it takes me about a hour to clean and polish all my wheels.

i remember reading on the back of my A-2-Z wheel cleaner that i was not supposed to let it stay on the wheels for longer then 15 seconds, and should i get the MAG wheel cleaner, the aluminum wheel cleaner, or the painted\clearcoat wheel cleaner?? because i know that one of them says it cannot be used with aluminum wheels
