ok guys i let my sister borrow my car and she the gas tank dead empy and now my car wont start. the fuel pump was kicking on and off but now when i turn the key i hear nothing and i tried releiving the presure by the valve behind the intake manifold and still a no go. do you think its the relay or do you think that its the pump itself? and how hard is it to cahnge the pump? should i give it a go myself or pay somebody to do it?
also since ive never doen this before could anybody give me a step by step on how to remove and install a fuel pump and relay. i would greatly appreciate it

first thing to do is check and see if its the relay or the pump. I would check your fuses and make sure the engine control fuse isn't blown. Next follow the steps in this thread:
fuel pump
If you find its the relay then just buy one and replace it. Its on the driver side firewall. If its the pump then its a pain, just do some searches here and you'll see. I think you have to drop the rear axle to get it out.
Good luck

The round thing your talking about is the fuel filter. The relay is on the driver side on the firewall. What I meant by the fuse is in your fuse box is the one labeled "eng cntrl". This fuse is for both your ecm and fuel pump, check that. The one you checked was a good idea anyways. Find the relay then follow the steps in the shortcut I posted and you'll find your problem. Its probably the relay, or atleast lets hope it is.
