Radiator resivoir drained every morning

I noticed that my resivoir for the radiator was empty the other day so I topped it up with water. I came back to it that night and its empty again.
Theres no puddles under the car, or any sign of leakage on or under the plastic resivoir.

The only thing i noticed is that occasionally on the top right of the radioator the metal that connects to the large hose up there smokes for a few minutes.

Is that enough to drain the entire resivoir????

Might have a leak from the hose there, where it tightens around the radiator outlet. Might be losing coolant elsewhere too.

Check your oil to make sure no coolant is in it.

Did you recently flush your cooling system?

I've seen it where this was done, and you had to keep adding water and coolant for a few days before it gets completely full. I guess that there are air pockets that take a few days to dissapear that causes your symptoms.

Yeah, flushing the radiator can leave air pockets in it that when they escape will leave your coolant a little lower.

What's the condition of your radiator cap? It could be allowing steam to escape.

The radioator cap is new, but I was wondering if the cap on the resivoir could be letting anything out??

And yea I did flush the radiator monday i think, so that might be it too.

Thanks

Just so you know, that tank isn't supposed to be full. If it were full, what happens when the coolant heats up and expands? It has nowhere to go and it evaporates. Try just filling it to the "COLD" level and see what happens.

You could have a small leak around the intake manifold. The engine heat would be enough to steam the water off, thus you would never see it. It's not draining out of your weep hole on the water pump, is it?
