How did you recieve your heads(packaging)?

Mods: i have no clue where i should have put this, i thought best since people might have reviewed their venders this would be the place, be my guest to move/close/delete this thread if it is a problem.

I am about to put a few sets of heads i own on ebay. I have had local listings but no serious buyers interested.

So i guess i will have to ship these heads in the mail. They are all iron heads and weigh est 30lbs a peice(60lbs a set).

How did your vendor ship your heads? What kind of packaging what kind of box?

How much was shipping average?

Go to Walmart and buy a plastic box with an interlocking folding top. When I bought my heads off Ebay, that's how they were shipped. Fill the box full of packing peanuts and wrap the heads in cardboard. Mine came through UPS with no problems.

Look for something like this

I rolled each head up in newspaper and used a massive amount off clear tape. It basically looked like a head made from newspaper and the post office had no problem sending them out for me. I did each one seperatly. These were the L98 Cast Heads

I'd reccomend shipping them in seperate boxes since there is a premium on any pound over 70lbs.

I was shipping a pair of cast iron LT1 heads in one box, it was 100lbs, cost $65 to ship. The UPS lady told me that there is an over 70lbs premium so I boxed each head seperately and then shipped them at a cost of $16/head, $32 total.
