NEED HELP WITH MY CAR

I GOT A 1990 RS CAMARO 305 V8 5.0L. OK I JUST BROUGHT A NEW OXYGEN SENSOR BECAUSE THE OLD ONE THAT WAS IN THERE KEPT ON RUNNING LEAN WHEN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO RUN RICH.SO I PUT IT IN AND I HERD YOU HAVE TO WAIT 2 OR 3 DAYS UNTIL THE COMPUTER STARTS TO READ IT.SO I CRANKED IT UP AND LET IT RUN AND IT KEPT ON ACTING UP FOR 3 DAYS THEN I JUST LET IT SET THERE FOR 3 DAYS AND STILL ACTED UP.WHEN IT STARTS TO ACT UP IT ACT LIKE IT IS GOING TO DIE AND THEN IT REBS BACK UP BUT THE IT DOESN'T GET BACK UP AND IT DIES AND WHEN YOU PRESS THE GAS PEDAL DOWN IT SHOOTS SOME BLACK SMOKE OUT OF THE TAIL PIPE LIKE IT IS FLOODED. AND THE GAS PRESSURE IS OKAY.i have checked the codes and one time it came up with a code 44 and then it went away and now the only thing that comes up is code 12.it is not the coolant temp sensor because it looks new .could it be the ECM or the fuel injectors?

turn off the cap locks. the o2 senser doesn't run lean or rich, it just reports the a/f ratio. you don't have to wait a day or two for the o2 senser to learn or reset it's self. just because a senser or any other part "looks new" doesn't mean it's working correctly. read you other thread instead or reposting the same question.
