.495 to much lift for factory Springs?
.495 to much lift for factory Springs?
I am pretty sure it is but thought I would ask anyway. That is the smallest roller cam I can find, are there any roller cams with about .475 lift that will make good power or should i get a bigger cam and springs also.

The stock springs arent much good for a stock cam, let alone a decent one. IIRC the stock ones bind anywhere from .460-.490 depending on the actual spring used. I still wouldnt think of reusing the stock springs, they are pretty lousy as far as springs go.
I second that. I changed my stock springs on the car when it had only 30,000 original miles on it when I put my Crane Roller rockers on and found out they had only around 40 pounds seat pressure at that time.
