injectors clogged?test injectors,running rough???

Well my 86 trans am is a 305 TPI,and it was running perfectly fine.Im not getting any trouble codes, but heres the problem, the car sometimes wants to stall, and runs real rough. Then a minute later it will clear up and be perfectly fine and sit there and idle perfect. The car had the following new parts:

plugs
wires
cap,coil and rotor
oxygen sensor
IAC motor
new fuel filter

The IAC had been correctly adjusted, and ive tried playing with the timing and it dont seem to help.I was thinking maybe i have clogged injectors, and it could be causing this.Or could it be the MAF burn off relay,MAF power relay,or the fuel pump relay???I need help bad, this cars gotten the best of me.And how can you test for clogged fuel injectors???

I had this same problem on my 86 T/A 305 TPI when i had it.I replaced the injectors with ones from a friends 91 Z28 and solved the problem. The pre 91 (I think that was the year) injectors were notorious for simply disintegrating at the tip of the injector. When i removed my old ones there was no tip on 6 out of 8,they simply fell apart.Replace your injectors and you will be fine.

Thanks for the help One.Yea im really leading towards the injectors being my problem. Can i test them somehow with a volt meter or something?I also forgot to mention im getting no trouble codes and i also replaced the ignition module. And is it possible either a MAF relay, burn off relay,or fuel pump relay could cause this too? Thanks

Oh yea,and this is very important and i dont know how i forgot about it.When i try to start the car it just cranks and cranks and cranks and wont start, not usually till i turn my distributor a lil bit,and when it does start i have to turn the distributor back to where i had it so timing is on and so that its not detonating.

You would have to take the injectors out anyway to check them so you might as well replace them at that point anyway.A bad MAF relay or burn off relay would throw a SES light on.A bad fuel pump relay and the car would not start at all.The timing thing i would say sounds like the timing chain may be a little worn allowing the timing to jump around. When you turn it,it is advancing enough to start the car(with the bad injectors)but gives you detonation. You might want to look into putting a new timing chain in the motor to,to help this out. When my injectors went bad i didnt get a SES light either.Check your fuel pressure too,you might also have a bad fuel pressure regulator. That was another problem i had on my T/A.Fuel pressure stock should be at 43 psi.
