ses light HELP ASAP!!!!

i want to disable my SES light so i can get through inspection. nothing is wrong with my car, i just switched to a carbed 350 now the computer does nothing besides VATS. any way i can get rid of the light to get threw inspection... i NO it will pass, i just put a brand new cat on it and its lean as can be with a 1100 idle. not trying to trick any one or nothing, just need the light gone for inspection.... also is there any way to get it to come on when you start the car but then go off like it normally does when its functioning ok? thanks, i really need to know a solution soon.... car is being sold and i need a sticker for my customer....

Just pull out the instrument panel an remove the bulb.

They won't know there's no bulb, they'll just know it's not lit.

I get mine inspected in NJ also and they don't test the light, they just ensure it's not lit.

Be careful going too lean on the air/fuel mix, as that will drive up NOx counts which will fail you.

A nice clean stoich mix is what will get you passed. Mine even had no EGR but a lumpy GM HOT cam which had enough overlap to create the same effect at low revs, still passed with nearly the same numbers as my wife's Honda.

It's really tough to get a carbed car to pass NJ treadmill inspection...good luck.

yep, sold the car today so all the probs are gone... finally no more headaches, thanks to all that helped!
