Not bad and that is flywheel horsepower. Just wondering about the 22 degrees total advance on the base engine. Interesting to know if that is the recommended factory advance on the ignition. Allen

I believe thay are refering to the mechanical advance travel built into the distributor. That would be in addition to a amount of initial advance @ idle like 10-12 degrees.a HEI distributor with 22 deg total advance.
Typical for a stock engines' distributor setup.

i imagine that a dual plane intake on that motor would be far superior in power than that huge super victor. my car is putting down right at 275hp to the wheels...through a 2400stall equiped 700r4 and 4.10's. i'd assume i'm making more power at the flywheel than they did and i'm running a much smaller cam and carb. give me a 600double pumper and WATCH OUT! LOL!
