Do POS and NEG EGR valves use the same solenoid?
I'm having a very difficult time trying to fix an EGR (code 32) problem. I have replaced most everything and nothing has helped. I was wondering if I could have possibly gotten a solenoid for a negative backpressure EGR valve instead of what I needed, one for a positive backpressure valve. So, are there two different solenoids? Thanks

Well does anybody know?
MODERATORS: I posted this in the TBI boards and it was moved. I decided to post it there because the 305 TBI engines have a totally different EGR system, ect. than the TPI, carbed, V6, or Iron Duke cars. Just letting it be known

According to my Camaro '91 Manual, equipped with a Neg. EGR Valve. It makes no mention about the solenoid and I doubt that it would make a difference as it only operates to supply a vacuum to the EGR Valve. Thread
