Fuel Lines Please help!
Alright so I was tearin out the carpet of this 1987 Z28 that I had just purchased. Well I got to the rear well area and found this:
As you can see a line is disconnected! I thought I smelt fuel while driving it home! What is this line used for? Could it have blown off from pressure? Or could it not have just simply been not hooked back up? When I reconnect it should I put hose clamps on it to ensure that it won't come apart again?
Thanks in advance to any input!

Vapor line, most likely, since it doesn't appear any liquid has been coming out.
Hook it back up, put clamps on both ends of it and the one next to it.

Thanks for the replies. Ended up buyin this car cheap. Picked it up saturday and drove it home. Engine and trany are great. Drives better than my 82 IMO. Just the previous owners were smokers and didn't take care of the car too well. Its in the process of bein brought back to life though. Shouldn't be too hard to cut out the mangled mess that they left and weld in a new piece of sheet metal. Here's a before and after shot of the exterior (just a little bit of buffing, polishing, and waxing. Still debating how much work I actually want to put into this car.):

well, it certainly looks better now... I'd get you a new sending unit to repair the damage that was done there when you go to do the new panel.
