Well decision time came and went and the end result was the camaro has to go.

Since Ive gotten so much help here and my car runs like 10 times better than when I got it, thanks to advice/tips etc from everyone here. I wanted to give you all the chance to buy it before it hits Autotrader next tuesday.

Asking price is $1700/neg. if I dont have to haul it to Texas or something.

 

I cancelled my insurance on the car today (payment was due next week). So the cars gonna be sitting till its bought.

I disconnected the battery, is there anything else I should do to it before it sells?

Heres some advice for selling cars: Wash it like you've never washed it before, polish and wax it if you really want the paint to look nice. Then shampoo the carpet, vacuum the entire interior, empty ash trays, spray febreeze in it, use armorall on plastic, vinyl, etc. then just to top it off, I would put some blakc magic tire wet o nthe tires to make them look new. People will pay more for a clean car.

Hey Reborn, Wierd thing I thought I would mention. I saw your cars twin "almost" for sale today in front of kmart. It was an 87 Iroc with TPI. It had damage in the same fendor and was the same color. I was freaking out because it looked soo much like yours except it had ttops. But other than that exact twin. Man If I dident buy this stupid truck this weekend they only want 1000$ for the iroc . But then 3 3rdgens would be a bit overkill

Theres an 87 IROC going for 900 in the papers here too. Cant be in much of any shape tho for that price huh. At least mine only has appearance problems, not like its minus an engine or something.

 

reborn, is it a real L69 car. If so consider me very interested. I just have to figure out where i'll find the money.

I looked at that $900 IROC(right by my house) It is hit in front with a bra to mask, has the worst MAACO paint job Ive ever seen, and runs like $#!t to boot. The interior is trashed, the body is decent minus the front end. Needs heater core, and is carbed. The guy will openly tell you its an auction car. I had him down to $500, but with $500 I could do just about everything Im planning on mine. Mike

Project, that bad?? What was wrong with the thing mechanically? Looks arent all that important to me if the thing wont even run.

 

Well, if you dont mind overpsray, and the front end collision, its fine. the motor is recently put in, but looks used. Runs like they have it out of time, or is starving for fuel. The interior is ragged, 85mph speedo. Drum brakes. $500 aint bad for a project though.
