blown inline fuses to the starter?
i was driving my car around then i parked it then came back about 30 later and my starter does not even try to turn. all my lights work every thing but my starter doesnot turn, no clicking or grinding. i did however put some installation stuff around the senoid to prevent it from over heating so it could have grounded the wires going to it and blow something. is there any indecations if the fuses in the inline fuses going to the starter are blown, and if so where can i find replacements for them? what else could it be blown starter? i do not have any time to check it today because i am very bussy and it is not even in my drive way right now it is at a friends house so if you could give me a general cause for what happened it would be much appriciated because i will not have to bring as much tools along.
thanks, danny

Could be a fusible link, starter solenoid, starter itself. If the link is dead you will probably smell burning plastic near the starter, although it may be too late for that now. You can buy the right guage fusuble link and cut it to length at a parts store. Make sure the starter connections are good. If the links are good, and the solenoid is getting power, I would just replace the starter. You might try getting a little heat shield for the solenoid next time too.
