like you punch the gas to the floor, or lightly push the gas as well?
Check the A/V tension, look at the main page of TGO under the tech articles to check this.

Has the carb been adjusted lately? More importantly, is the catalytic converter clogged? You can tell by looking at it. If it's glowing red, you just found your problem. More things to check are:
1. Has it had a tune-up recently?
2. Did this begin after the tune-up?
3. Have you changed the charcoal canister filter? (Dirty ones will
cause a loss in torque, believe it or not!)
4. Are your brakes binding?
5. When was the last time you changed your fuel filter?
6. Have you checked your timing?

If you check all these things, you'll probably find your problem. If not, then it's time to do a compression test to make sure your cylinder pressures are right and you don't have bad piston rings or a blown head-gasket. More than likely, you'll find one of the simple fixes will fix you right up. Hope you get her figured out.

I'll add a few more.

1.)Is the in-tank booster pump functioning
2.)Is the transmissions TV cable adjusted properly
3.)What is the condition of the fluid
4.)Don't overlook cam wear problems
5.)Check to be sure your secondary cam is intact and raises the metering rods when you open the air valves.
6.)Check your EFE valve and Thermac Valves for proper operation.
