Engine question

You need to get the number on the rear drivers side of the block. Between the top drivers side trans bolt and the second trans bolt. (3970010 for example.)
IIRC, the VO number tells you where and when the block was made, and for what vehicle. You could try to break it down and figure out the size, but its easier to get the other number and go to www.mortec.com .

Axle/Gears: Dana 44 3,33
Hmmm cant find that number so i guess i cant figure out what engine i have. Maybe someone can help me to break it down.

V = Flint Mich.
08 = August
26 = 26th of the month
OHE = the engine suffix code. You need to find out what the suffix codes are for 3rd gens, this will tell you what you have. (Mad mikes site doesnt do 3rd gen codes anymore
)
