rocker arms??

rocker arms??

would I gain anything at all by putting 1.6 roller rockers on a basically stock 305TPI?

You would and about .032 lift to your cam,but you may have to elongate the pushrod holes in your heads to make them work. For what you would gain I would not say its worth it.

Putting good quality real rockers, and getting the sheet-metal crap off of there, will make an immense difference. However, it will make very little difference whether you put 1.5 ratio or 1.6 ratio rockers on it, except that with the 1.6s, you may have to do some machine work.

So definitely put some better ones on there. I'd recommend the Comp steel roller-tip ones, they're a good bang for the buck type of thing.
