How many times does the engine fire in one revolution? Do all 8 cylinders fire in one revoultion, just one, or somewhere in between?

It takes 2 revolutions for ALL cylinders to fire once. All four stroke engines need 2 revolutions to complete one operating cycle.

So to answer your question a bit better, A 4 stroke V8 will have a cylinder fire every 90 degrees of crankshaft rotation. This means in one revolution of the crankshaft, 4 cylinders will have fired.
