ok i replaced my intake manifold gaskets the other day and i thought that i put the distributer in right. it was a little off so i turned it till the engine was idling good. but when ever it warms up to temp at a stop sign the revs dip down and once in awhile it will stall...would this be caused by advanced or retarded timing, or is it something else?

 

You need to set the timing with a light, just because it idles right doesnt mean that the timing is set right.
