76mm 4 speed
I HAVE A 1982 Z28 WITH THE FACTORY 76MM 4 SPD TRANS AND I WANT TO CHANGE THE FUILD OUT TO SYNTHETIC. I CANT FIND THE DRAIN PLUG. I THINK THE FILL HAS A SQUARE HEAD ON THE PASS SIDE BUT I CANT FIND THE DRAIN. I HAVE CONSULTED MY SHOP BOOK AND IT WAS NO HELP.

Typically to drain a transmission, you just unbolt the lower side of the fluid pan and start working your way towards the upper end while prying softly to try and break the seal so fluid starts seeping out.
Are you sure that 4spd can handle synthetic? I don't think most older manuals like synthetics.

So much for me working on only automatics so far. Guess that's good to know before I started looking at the WC T-5 I'm getting asking the guy why its missing the pan
