Who makes Synthetic Oil ?

Who makes the Synthetic Oil that Wal-mart sells? All it says is that it is manufactured for Wal mart and is about $1.50 or so less than any other synthetic oil. I've heard that it is Mobile One for cheap and was seeking verifacation. Thanks for the info. P.S. is the only difference between the PF25 and PF35 the volume capacity?

Its so no Mobile One for the cheap. Its more like some **** made by a lower end no body in some weird Country. aS for its quality, I dunno. That Super Tech cleaning products are prety good, but I am not trusting the walmart brand to my engines perforamce. Stick with Mobile 1

A while back I thought 82camaro (?) said it is made by Quaker State. I'm fairly certain it is not Mobil 1, which Wal-Mart often sells for less than other retailers.

I'm not sure how Wal-Mart does business, but I do know that Sears Roadhandler by Bridgestone tires are not Bridgestone quality because they're built to Sears specs - not sure why anyone would allow their name to go on an inferior product.

So, don't know if Wal-Mart synthetic is just repackaged or reformulated. But, it does meet API and SAE requirements, if that makes you feel any better.

i asked the first time i saw it and was told by someone here that it's quaker state. whoever said it had a MSDS or something to support what they said. one thing to consider and remember is the API rating the oil is made to. if it's API xxx and mobil1 or whatever oil is also API xxx then they both meet the parameters to achieve the rating.

From the high up district managers and local TLE managers at wal-mart, it's Quaker-state. Just squirted into a different bottle. It comes from quaker-state when they order it. However, could it be different, absolutly. I've used it for alot of years without any problems in my vehicles. IMO changing the oil often is more important than the brand.

350 with stealth intake, holley carb, 470 lift cam. 700r4 with .5 boost valve, vette servo, tci lock-up kit, B&M megashifter. Richmond 3.73 gears, powertrax locker, timkin bearings, synthetic lube. Custom 3 inch single into 2 2.5 pipes. 1 1/2 drop springs, 1 5/16 solid front sway bar, 1 inch rear bar, custom subframe connectors, custom LCA relocation brackets. Kobel ground FX, currant red metallic paint. Lots of other stuff...

if its quaker state, that means its made by pennzoil. therefore, its repackaged pennzoil synthetic.
