New Engine???

I just had a new 305 put into my car...But I was wondering when i brought my car home when I was at a stop light I kept hearing a clicking like (click click click)... So I know it could'nt be the Block the things brand new. anyhow I got under the hood when and it seemed the sound was coming from maybe my Dampener was kinda sounds do things make when they get old....like at idle it's kinda louder than when i put my foot on the gas ,since my cars more or less a project car i won't be driving it at all til i get paint and body work done, and possibly new tranny...

Exhaust leak or a misadjusted (loose) rocker.

Alot of engine manufacturers tell you in the instructions to re-adjust the rockers. I have installed a few w/ rockers blatently loose. I also had a new one run like crap because they ran them down to tight and held the valves open.

hummmm hopefully it's not a rocker....but i guess it could be I'm pretty sure it could be the exhaust though I'll have to fire it up tommorrow and check under there and get real close to the sound.........hey with those ac delco blocks i get a 3 yr warrenty but i have a question it says after ten days 500 miles on the car i have to bring it back to have them look at it or the warrenty is void... but the cars not even on the road what's up with that??
