Does any body know if the exhaust ports on vortec heads are in the stock position or are they raised?

I'm running Vortec heads with Edelbrock headers and I have no problems. I didn't know the ports are raised, though. You sure about that?

'85 Berlinetta, Special Beater Edition
Mods include a 4bolt 350 with 280*, .460 lift cam, Vortec heads, Comp Cams roller tip rockers, Edelbrock TES headers, no other exhaust . Also, rusted parts on all 4 corners, and crumpled fenders, thanks to the previous owner.

 

I was also unaware of this. My SLP tri-y headers bolted up no problem.
