The seller says it has a 350 TPI in the ad. Hard to say what it is.

3 posibilities(spelling?)

1. the Owner bought badges for a TTA, and well we all know waht happens next.

2. the owner pulled the 3.8 and is either keeping for himself or blow it up and replacement is 350TPI

3. Owner is f**d lover and just doesn't get it!!!!!

If awnser number 3 is correct ..... WOOO HOOO for the guys that gets an Original TTA!!!

BAdges are to expensive to just buy them for no good reason. I think personally he just got a pic of the TTA for his ad.
Who knows. I am awaiting a response.

Ah, that's just a white '89 GTA. Nothing special.

Well got to the bottom of it here is the emails we sent:

My borther and I are both interested in purchaing your Trans Am. Though from the picture it seems that it is a V6 equiped Trans Am, but your ad sayes its a V8. Could you clear this up with me and also send me the vin# so I can check out it's history,. Also what town do you live in so We can maybe see if we want to take as trip to look at it?

It has a 350 TPI V8 not a Turbo V6. I did not have a pic of my car so I use this one which is of a Turbo V6, sorry, But I does look the same.

The Vin Number is 1G2FW218OKL219989 I am the second owner of this car and as far as I know it has never been in a wreak.

I live in Ashville which is 30 mins south of Columbus Ohio. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Thanks,
Charles

So it looks as if he just used that pic. damn I thought I had found a steal

lol...I recieved the same email. I was ready to drive all the way down there from NY...but when I got the reply I was a little mad....and I didnt want to break the bad news to all of you so soon. But it seems I have the worst luck with finding TTA's. I just started driving my first car yesterday...my '83 TA...'87 look a like is finally on the road. Down the block from me this guy appeared to have a TTA...but it ended up being an '86 white TA that was modded to actually look like the TTA...they went as far as to do a complete interior swap..and had all emblems and the center turbo piece between the lights. But I was pissed when he said they made it look like that...and that it was a 5.0 TPI. It was a lil crashed up..but I woulda sold my '83 in a heart beat to buy it. He was selling it for like a grand...not worth it if it was just a reg. TA though. Now the car is gone...well if he still has the car...would any of you TTA owners happen to need some TTA interior parts...such as leather seats, seatbelts, interior panels, tail lights..etc.?
