Won't start/need help

OK here's the deal. (1989 5.0 TBI/auto)
I drove it this morning to the corner store, shut it off, started up and drove home fine. Later I get in to go get gas and it won't start, cranks fine. I was running pretty close to empty so I fugure I'm out of gas. Ride the bicycle down to get a couple gallons and still no joy. I don't have a pressure guage handy but I disconnected the fuel line and there is definatley fuel coming out. I disconnected the injector connection and there is 12v when ignition is on, but the injectors aren't firing when I crank the motor, the fuses are good. I really don't know what to check next. I don't think it's a VATS problem as the fuel pump is turning on, the injectors just won't fire. Any suggestions?
BTW it will run when I dump a little fuel down the throttle body

Well, you've definitely narrowed the problem down. The motor has everything it needs to start except for fuel.

I know you said you had 12 volts at the injector connector, but did you also check the ground wires? That's how the ECM controls the injectors, by grounding that 12 volts. If you can, see if you can buy or rent a noid light for GM TBIs, and hook it up to the injector connectors while cranking. That will narrow down the problem much further. If the noid light blinks, than the injectors are faulty. If the noid light does not blink, than the problem could be any number of things (wiring, ICM, ECM, etc.).

I'd still check fuel pressure as well though, if the pump is going south it may still be pumping fuel, but not nearly enough to start the car.
