Wierd electrical noise not coming from speakers, related engine miss and bog...
The topic says it all... the noise is clearly electrical, and it doesn't sound like it's coming from the speakers, it's just like an electrical noise (noise is the only way to explain it)...
I also have a missfire, and it gets worst as the engine warms up/gets hot...
Lately the noise has been more varied, and you can here when things are being really taxed because you can hear the noise change. When I start turning things on the noise gets really bad and it will stumble like it wants to die (but doesn't)...
When I have just about everything on (defogger, vent fan, highbeams, stereo, dome lights and maps lights, brakelights and back-up lights) and I gun the engine (or even tap the gas) I will get a hi-pitched squeel/squeek from my engine, I had the hood up one day when this happened and I noticed smoke puff out from where the alternator is.
So My question is, is it time for a new alternator? Or do I need to start searching for grounds/crossed leads? Do you think the missfire is related? Perhaps the coil is going, which is causing stress on the engine and causeing all these other problems? What else?

The alternator is making the noise definatly... it gets worse as it get hotter... I tried measuring voltage at the battery but I couldn't really get accurate measurements because the terminals are -really- corroded on the outside... not just the white stuff, but rust as well... I cleaned off the bolt threads and inner nut on the battery but it didn't help
From the shaky measurements that i did manage to gather, the battery sitting with the motor off gives out about 12.3 volts, with it on, it's about 14, and with things on it's about 13... I'll go out and clean them in detail tomorrow afternoon, but I just wanted to give you those figures for now.
So is it the Alt dieing? Or could the coil be dying and the alt is compensating for it? I'm really hoping that my miss is related to this...

Ok, this is kinda a shot in the dark, but here's the best I could come up with: a bearing is going out on your alternator, possibly? It sounds like it's still charging, considering the voltage readings you got. But if it's making noises, well, that can't be good. Maybe it's on its way to locking up and is putting a drag on your engine, causing it to run rough. Like I said, this is just a theory.

i would say that it is th alt. like she dvl posted. as the engine warms up the bearing in the alt swells and the alt gets harder for the engine to turn. i would take the car to the autoparts and let them test it. they usualy hay a computer that hooks up to the charging system and they can put a load on the system and tell you for sure if it is your alt. or some other elec. problem. this is your best bet unless you want to remove your alt. and take it to get it tested.hope this helps you out and good luck!

Make sure that the belt is totally tight, over time they will loosen a bit. Maybe even invest in a new belt, they're not expensive. I usually get a long screw driver to pry(spelling) it tight and tighten the bolts.

All the belts are relativly new (early may this year)... I suppose they could have loosened up a bit, when the engine is running they do look kinda sloppy, but they don't have a whole lot of play... I'll take it to a shop and see what they can do.
Load on an engine won't cause a miss-fire, I'm hoping it's the coil on it's way out, and really isn't really related. I'll start throwing parts at it this weekend.
Update
The local pick-your-part is have a walk-away-day the 20th os this month. You pay 25 bucks to get in, and then anything you can walk away with in your hands is yours... Maybe I'll see if i can make it until then and pull some used ones there... Think it's wise?
