I just got keyless entry with an alarm installed. The problem i have always had is when i push the lock button it doesnt lock all of the way...not only that my window rattles. I saw the thread that JamesC created...but I am not too mechanically inclined. How hard is to to replace the actual locks on both doors, tighten up the windows, and clean and lube those parts. I dont want to get into something and break it. Is removing the door panel easy? If I take apart my door will it hurt my alarm? Are the lock cylinders hard to replace?....What tools will I need...My doors have the power mirror control by the shifter and window switches. Is it possible to mess the power mirrors up since they are working fine? Pretty much what I am asking is...Can a common man with the right tools do this job in a day? thanks a lot. any extra tips and info would be great...my chiltons manual sucks. no diagrams or insstructions...all BS. thank you for your help.

Take this over to the body and interior forum...good news is all you can mess up is the doorpanel...so it's not like you'll disable the car..

As far as alarm, etc...no one can answer that unless they see how it's installed...don't know of any special tools needed, but then again my boxes are pretty full...what may be special to someone, I may have three of...but FYI, I dont knowingly have any "KD Tool Number XXXX" in my box.
