when i bought the truck i was told it was a 305, when i did a tune up, we put the plugs in for a 305, i believe r44ts instead of r45ts, we set the timing for a 305, which is a little less than the 350, no wonder that it ran a whole lot better with like 16 degrees initial, (i know thats too much, it would run and then start actibg up and cutting out, found out it was a spark plug wire, with it started ran my hand across the wires until i got shocked, in the process i broke the distributor cap, so i replaced it and didn't time it for like 2 months) didn't run as good as it did with the timing off
