Knock sensor

I built a 350 for my pickup and changed it from a 305. I am the 305 TBi, Knock sensor and exhaust manifold. I have changed the Eprom to a stock 350 EProm. I am working on the Injectors for the TBI. I am going to get the stuff to do the Eprom chip. But I want to know what the difference is in a 305 knock sensor and a 350 knock sensor?

I'd like to know the answer to this one as well, having seen references to a "350" knock sensor. I wouldn't think there'd be any difference as long as the output voltage is the same? Difference in sensitivity or connector end?

From what I have seen there is no difference other then part number. But they look identical and all so I am confused what the difference is between the 305 and 350 knock sensor is

The knock frequency depends on the diameter of the bore, so 305 and 350 knock sensors are tuned to different frequencies.

Excellent that would explain some of the issues I am experiencing with the timing and the way my truck is running with that 350 now Thanks

Well slap me silly That is a truly awesome & concise answer! That may explain some of the spurious readings I'm getting! Apeiron, udaman
